Explaining the joke: The pixels in an image can be represented by polar or rectangular coordinates. If you take the polar coordinates and treat them as if they are rectangular coordinates, you get this image. Therefore, if the original is "The Polar Express" this image is "The Rectangular Express." There is a filter to do this transformation in Photoshop, called Polar -> Rectangular. There is an analogous joke with a "sheared sheep."
